Tim Francisco is from Oriskany, NY. He first became interested in physical therapy when his mother suggested it to him as a career during his senior year in high school. She made this recommendation based on his enjoyment and aptitude in volunteering at her workplace. Tim’s mother is an occupational therapist and they helped people with mental and physical disabilities. During his freshman year in college he volunteered at Faxton hospital. He fell in love with assisting the physical therapist’s working in the rehabilitation department and that is when he knew he wanted to be a physical therapist. He graduated from physical therapy school at Utica College of Syracuse University in 2000. He worked in a sub-acute rehabilitation setting for 3 1/2 years before working at Pro-Active Physical Therapy for a little over 6 years. During this time he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, certified in the ASTYM Treatment and Sole Supports Custom Fit Foot Orthotics. He has also taken many continuing education classes including McKenzie classes and completed Evidence in Motion's Evidence Based Practice specialized orthopedic residency program. Recently, he became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Evidence in Motion.
Evidence in Motion provides the largest physical therapy residency program in the United States. An extensive community has formed around EIM facilitating a “first in class” environment for residents and fellows to receive the highest caliber of training and become distinguished leaders in evidence-based orthopaedic and manual physical therapy practice. This specialized 18 month orthopedic residency includes hands on training with leaders in the physical therapy profession from across the country. Tim Francisco has become a highly skilled, autonomous practitioner with a strong base of didactic knowledge, psychomotor skills and clinical reasoning capabilities. These skills serve as cornerstones for the physical therapy profession’s leading evidence-based practitioners.
Here is what one of Tim’s former patients has to say about him:
"My experience with Tim Francisco has been truly remarkable. I came into P.T. with an agonizing 3 bone fracture to my left shoulder. The 1st visit with my personal therapist, Tim Francisco, on April 14, 2004, was very difficult. My range of use of my shoulder was so severely limited and the pain so severe, that I truly thought I had destroyed my arm and would be disabled forever.
At that 1st visit, Tim asked me “What are your goals for Physical Therapy?” Taken off guard, I quickly answered, “I want my arm back!” And from that point on, Tim worked with me to realize my prayer.
These many long weeks of P.T. with Tim have been very hard work, often uncomfortable. But with Tim’s encouragement, prayers and expertise, always sensing to push me harder, I do indeed now have “my arm back.” In fact, on my final visit my left shoulder is now stronger than my uninjured one!
Tim is regularly taking courses to learn cutting edge P.T. therapy techniques. One of these new treatments has eliminated the last limitation I was experiencing. They all seem to know how much we patients need their warmth and caring attention. I truly felt I was a part of a family, a very special family, all working to make me better.
Lucinda L. Savage
Outside of work, Tim is very involved with his church and serving the Lord through leading a weekly Bible study. He also enjoys many outdoor activities including camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, swimming, x-country and downhill skiing. He also participates in one or two sprint triathlons each year. |

Jean Francisco OTL, CHT has a diverse background affording her insights and experience drawn from a variety of work settings.
